The ALLC adult psycho-educational evaluation is comprised of hearing and vision screenings, an IQ/cognitive ability assessment and achievement testing. Current tests include the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scales, 3rd Edition (WAIS-III), and the Woodcock Johnson Tests of Achievement, 3rd Edition (WJ-III). For a more detailed list of possible tests click on the link below.
Testing includes both standard subtests, as well as extended subtests, in order to provide a more thorough picture of an individual’s strengths and weaknesses. Testing takes an average of 6-8 hours. Speech and Central Auditory Processing Evaluations may also be provided in the comprehensive evaluation if they are warranted.
The ALLC evaluation meets the standards for determining the need for accommodations in a work, college, or trade school setting. It is recommended that updated evaluation be completed every 3 years to determine current needs, strengths, and progress made.
