Auditory Processing screening is administered to evaluate the need for more extensive auditory processing testing. The screening consists of several normed observation checklists or questionnaires designed to quantify or qualify auditory-related behaviors that place a child educationally at risk. A screening of ability to listen in noise may be administered.
Auditory processing screening is available to those 5 years of age and older. In addition, screening for those who may be “at risk” for auditory processing learning disability is available for the preschool population.
